How to develop a perfect body language has been originally published on: How to For India

It’s sometimes said that the tears speak deeper than words and it’s probably known that actions speak louder than words and so body language makes us understand the message that we try to convey. In terms of non verbal communication, body language is the most efficient way.

Organ oriented different body language:
When it comes to body language they are simple expressions that we make in face, hand postures, eyes contact and some gestures. They differ with the organs involve.
1) Smiling:
Smile always conveys a positive attitude of the person and it makes the opponent understand confidence, friendliness and it tells that you are a person whom people like to be with. False smile can bring negative image.
2) Nodding or Head shaking:
Nodding is done when you agree to something and it’s a sign or signal approval. Disapproval is given when you don’t nod or shake “no” with your head.
3) Hands on hip:
Standing with hands on the hip implies that we are set to go and act. Depending on the situation it also implies the aggression. However it’s not the welcoming pose but it are the most top postures of youngsters.
4) Eye contact and attention:
Eye contact with someone ensures that you are listening to them and lack of them would imply that it’s a fact of hiding, lying or even shyness and not enough confidence. Attention span tells how well they like about the conversation and it tells their interest and boring about something.
5) Hand folding, legs crossed and other postures:
Arms folded gesture generally conveys the most defensive pose or it might be just to calm a person down. Sitting tight with legs crossed imply that their uncomforting or disinterest in communication. Legs tight may be like physical barrier to keep them away from others.

Thus body language will help you mingle in society. However avoid touching people while speaking because it may impose bad image on your character as it implies romantic feel.

Researchers say judging a person is really very interesting and important to all people. To be more clear as a person sitting in panel for an interview how to judge a candidate with his / her body language. In this modern world people find many difficulties in facing an interviewer.

However, the interview judger will also have certain ideas to find an apt person for their company. This could be more useful and gives certain ideas for judging a person. The first and foremost thing is the body language and the boldness of the candidate.

The interviewers can ask few questions about the person’s attitude towards life, values and his behavior in past situation for judging the candidates character. Since out of 100%, 10% lies in character. Many companies prefer to relay on paper record, rather than to make this judgment. But the basic qualification and knowledge is still important for a candidate.

For a technical job, the technical skills and knowledge are to be judged and off course required. But, they should not be the key factor in making the final selection of the suitable candidate.

IS TELEPHONIC INTERVIEW SUFFICIENT TO JUDGE ANYONE’S PERSONALITY???
Now day’s candidates are judged by levels in that this telephonic interview is one of the famous for the interviewers. Yes doing telephone interviews is certainly a very useful tool in first stages of the recruitment process, as we can get quite a lot of information from the candidate: his motivation, how he/she comes across, communication skills, and so on.

This also allows you to screen out a lot of not suitable/not very motivated candidates, and thus not wastes your time or their time any further. In fact it works quite well in identifying the two extremes: the very good candidates and downright unsuitable candidates.

So this should be only a part in interviewing. But there are quite a lot of candidates that fall in between which you should definitely have to evaluate at a personal interview.

How to lower the car insurance premium has been originally published on: How to For India

Cars are considered a better mode for movement than two wheelers, because they offer comfortable travel experience. Journey through car is more sophisticated than through other vehicles.

However, not all people can afford to buy a new car all of a sudden. Insurance is also a main activity to be done to ensure safety of human life and also the vehicle. Rather than buying a car people spend much in putting fuel for it. Check all the possible fuel option available in the car.

Insurers prefer a few points when they decide the insurance premium for a car. Whenever we buy a car the insurance premium is a remote consideration. The major factors that decide the car insurance premium are car model, year of manufacture, fuel option, even factors like fuel tank, safety devices and accessories.

FUEL OPTION: The premium for petrol cars will be less than that of diesel, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by 10-15 % because diesel cars are opted for over usage.

SAFETY DEVICES: Cars with safety devices like gear and steering wheel locks, air bags, anti-theft and life saving devices have more premiums.

ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTS: Presences of Accessories like audio-system and spare parts of high quality also decide the level of premium.

CAR COLOR: Car color is also a consideration in India. People using red color car are more in number than white which increases premium.

PROFILE OF OWNER: The lifestyle, profession of the owner also decides the premium. People above 45 years of age pay low premium, whereas young people pay more.

Car has become the basic necessity of mostly, all people in today’s world. Thus, the above points would have provided a good idea for how to make a choice of the vehicle.

LIC of India offers its customers with many sorts of schemes and policies. Regardless of your scheme it can be easily paid through online. The person can pay the amounts to his premium through his credit card or through the bank.

LIC has now gathered his own paying way to make their premium payments through online and in easy ways. Only few premiums can be paid through online and regarding other premium, the LIC is exploring new ways to resolve this issue.

Steps to be followed to pay the premium online:

1) Visit the LIC site www.licindia.in before deciding the mode of paying the amount. It is the official site referred by Life Insurance Corporation of India.

2) Create your own username and password in the site by entering into NewUserRegistration form. It then enters into a web page where at the left corner you can find the option “Enroll Policies”.

3) Click it and enter the policy number to view the premium details. All the relevant and necessary details will be displayed.

4) Now click on to the “Pay Premium Online” option. The click takes you to the page where the policies and details are displayed, select the policy and click submit button.

5) This will move to the payment gateway site where the person is permitted to pay his payments through online.

6) Most of the banks accept the payment for LIC premium but it is better to know whether the mode by which you are going to make the payment is convenient.

7) The payment confirmation will be instantaneous but in rare cases it may take two to three days of time. The receipt will be issued in one week time.

8) Take a great care in entering the policy number properly while paying.

Every government requires money in form of taxes to sun the government. Still, the laws vary from country to country on which items should be taxed, who does the taxing and how taxes are spent. If you are thinking of moving to a new country, you might be curious about who taxes you and for what you are taxed on.

In India, there are many different types and levels of tax are present and they are as follows:

Corporate Income Tax :
Many forms of Corporate income taxes are in India. Primarily, Corporate income tax is aimed at domestic corporations, which in India pays a base income tax rate of 35 % with a 2.5 % surcharge. This tax also applies to foreign corporations in India that have economic bases e.g., Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Agro-tech. These companies are responsible for paying income tax on 40 % of their income, with a 2 % surcharge reserved for state funding for education. Finally, corporate income tax applies to all individuals working for a corporation. This policy requires that people living in India pay income tax on all income, including income for work done for a corporation that is situated in a foreign country and in a foreign country, such as telecommunications work.

Personal Income Tax :
The personal income tax system in India, is a system of tax percentages based on individuals income. Annual income under 1,00,000 rupees is not taxed, while 10% tax is imposed on income in excess of 1,00,000 to 1.5 million rupees. Earning ranging from 1.5 million to 2.5 million rupees per year brings a tax rate of 20 percent, anything above that will be taxed at 30 to 40 %.Based on the type of income non-citizens have a personal income tax rate. Interest from stock holdings is taxed at a rate of 20 percent, while royalties and technical service fees are taxed at 10 percent. All other personal income are taxed at 30 percent.

Sales Tax :
India imposes a sales tax whenever goods are being sold and bought.According to the type of goods the percentage of taxes varies. Sales taxes includes 1 percent on bullion and precious stones, 4 percent on mass consumption goods and 12.5 % on uncategorized items. Essential commodities like food items, room and board are not taxed along with petroleum, tobacco and liquor, as the state governments have regulatory control the percentage varies from region to region.

Interview is done to enquire about the person knowledge and capability of him to proceed in that job. Interview is the most common method held by companies in the name of selecting the person for the job. Persons cannot be selected randomly he could be selected only through his qualification.

Requirements to be taken and done when we move to interview:

1) Take the interview card safely with you. Reach the concern place earlier as the person can avoid unnecessary tension.

2) Take the resume along with you. Resume is nothing like a simple biodata, which consists of all the qualification, personal and course details.

3) Revise all the technical terms and language-oriented subjects that come under the core subject thoroughly. Do not ever sit idle if you really do not know the answer, try to manage somehow and answer it.

4) Be careful in listing the subjects under the “area of expertise.” The subjects that the person mentions will be important as most of the question is based on that only.

5) Generally, all the interviews will have almost three rounds of interview section. Group decision, writing skill, and personal interview are the three rounds in the interview. So be prepared accordingly.

Appearance that to be maintained:

Do not wear a rich look or poor look dress. Wear normal casuals. For boys wear a good colored shirt with neatly ironed pant. If necessary, wear tie. Tug in the shirt will you get inside for interview, it will great good appearance. For women, wear a proper dress, which does not look awkward.

Confidence is very much essential factor to be had. Will doing any actions such as, shaking hands, sitting sir, speaking with persons at interview, and so on, do it confidently. They will not only watch the resume but also the gentle behavior of the person.

Business Practices in India has been originally published on: How to For India

India’s economy has accelerated eventhough the all the countries has experienced an economic slowdown. India has one of the world’s fastest growing economies and with its large potential and population, it will continue to be popular for business. For people who are planning to go to India for business purposes, being aware of the business practices will allow for a successful and smooth interactions.

Language :
Hindi is the main language in India, but English is the secondary language. There are many other languages also spoken in the country and in 1961, the Indian census listed 1,652 “mother tongues.” business with foreigners is conducted in English, particularly in the larger cities like Mumbai (The financial hub of India)and capital New Delhi.

Meetings :
Appointments for meetings are mostly set before a month prior to actual meetings, and a confirmation call will be commonly made one or two days prior to the meeting. The ideal meeting time is between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or late morning. However, meetings are not conducted during national holidays or certain festivals such as the Indian Independence Day or Diwali.Because family is so important in Indian culture.

Greetings :
When greeting each other, Indians do the “namaste.” They bow and clasp their hands together at their chests as a form of greeting. Foreigners meeting Indian’s can shake hands. However, a foreigner doing the “namaste” instead of a hand shake shows his / her respect for the rich Indian culture. Indians also use titles when speaking to each other. Thus, use “Dr.” or Professor” when necessary. The formal “Madam,” “Miss,”, “Mr.,” “Mrs.” or “Sir” are used if a persons title is unknown.

Politeness :
Indians are very polite and so , if “Possibly” or “We’ll see” is said by an Indian within the business context, it is likely that he / she is actually saying “no.” Diplomacy and politeness are expected, even when a criticism or disagreement is expressed.

Relationships :
Building relationships is a key element to business as Indians prefer to do business with people they have relationships with. Being aware of current news events and recent cricket scores will enable smooth conversation and will help to build a strong business relationship in the long run. Asking about family members is also appreciated.

Hierarchy :
Indian caste system divides its people into hierarchies. For instance, peons are hired within companies to do manual work. If tables and chairs need to be rearranged none, other than a peon, will move it.
