- You must first locate one of the two dozen India passport offices in India. The address of the nearest India passport office can be obtained from the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs’ website.
- Get a change of address form either from the website or by visiting the nearest India passport office. You will have to fill “form 2” to get the address changed on Indian passport.
- To fill form 2, you will need to fill all personal details that include your name, previous address, and the new address. There is a questionnaire attached with this form. You need to fill that as well.
- Submit the completed form and a proof of new address at the India passport office. The staff at India passport office will take the completed form to initiate a new passport for you.
